Me and my Priority life…

That Confucious guy who puts all the slips of paper in the cookies really knows what he’s talking about. This was a very, very pleasant and prosperous day, indeed. I got up very early this morning so I could make a Valentine to send to my friend Dharma Marmalade. She lives in a place called “Connecticut”. Mom showed me where it is on a map. It is very far away, but I might visit there someday.
Mom got out all kinds of pretty paper, glue, crayons and scissors for me, so I could be very creative.

I worked really hard and made a nice Valentine. The pink paper I used for the heart feels like velvet. I’m really hoping Dharma will like it.

I put my Valentine into a box with some other nice things I thought Dharma might like, and we got it ready to go to the post office. I was really concerned that it would not get to Connecticut in time, but mom said not to worry, because we would send it “Priority.” I asked her what Priority meant, and she told me it means “very important.” I understood that, because pretty much everything I do is Priority. I lead a very Priority life.
We went to the Post Office to mail Dharma’s package, and we got to see Don, who is one of our favorite people at the Post Office. He works very hard, and is always happy. The Post Office is lucky to have him!

When we got home from the Post Office, I told mom we needed to work on the sisters. We are making little sisters for me, because most of the monkeys here are very old, and not much fun. The girl ones are all old ladies. They have age spots and they smell all musty and stuff. I asked mom if I could have some sisters to play with, and she said, “Sure!” (She is a very fun mom – she does almost everything I ask, except buy me cool John Deere tractors at antique stores.) She took me to Target, and I picked out sister socks. I decided to name the new sisters “Cissy Longstocking” and “ValenTina”.

The sisters are coming along well. Cissy Longstocking seems like she is going to be very adventurous, and will probably be lots of fun to play with. I’m a little bit worried about ValenTina, though. She has a deep, gravelly voice, and she is very bossy. She keeps telling me her real name is Pink Floyd, and that ValenTina is just her stage name. I heard mom telling dad that this was all his fault, because he fell asleep in the recliner with VH1 Classic on last night. ValenTina was out in the living room and was exposed to about three hours of The Pink Floyd Story. They are apparently very impressionable when they are in the formative stages. She said she was worried that ValenTina is going to turn out to be something called a “drag queen”. I asked her what a drag queen was, and she just said, “Never mind.”
We will just have to wait and see how they turn out, I guess.
When dad got home, we went to dinner at a place called Zorba’s. They serve Greek food. There was a nice painting on the wall where we were sitting. I think I would like to visit Greece.

Dad said I could order anything I wanted from the menu. It was a really big menu, so I had a hard time deciding…

I finally chose something called the “Gyros Dinner.” Good thing I was really hungry, because it was a lot of food. There was some meat, some pointy bread thingies called “pitas”, and french fries, too! I also got a Greek salad with it, but I let mom eat that.

I ate as much as I could, but I could not finish it. I was so full that my tummy hurt.

There was a very nice girl who brought us our food. Her name was Kristen. She goes to high-college at a place called “UCO”. She told us we should come back on Saturday because they have “belly dancers” on Saturday nights. I asked mom what belly dancers are, and she said, “Never mind.”
Kristen said I was cute, and I had my picture taken with her. She is very pretty and also very nice, but my heart belongs to Dharma.

After dinner, we went to a place called “Starbucks”. It was full of coffee!!! I can’t believe I didn’t know about it already! It must be a well-kept secret. Dad got me something called a “Venti Latte”. It tasted pretty much like coffee with milk to me, but it was good, and I needed the caffiene to have the energy to do my blog entry for the day.

Today was very good. Pleasant and prosperous, just like the fortune cookie predicted. I hope I get to meet Confucious someday. He is a very smart guy.
