My Grand Parents……

Today’s Fortune: Your many hidden talents will become obvious to those around you.

That fortune is very true! I have recently learned that I have talents even I didn’t know I had!

Last weekend we went to see my Dad’s Mom and Dad. They are called “Grandma” and “Grandpa.” They are “grandparents”. Grandparents are even better than grandbabies. Grandparents let you do all kinds of fun stuff, and have neat things to play with. That is what makes them grand!

My Grandma and Grandpa have a big thing in their living room. It is called a “piano”. When you open it up, you can mash some black and white buttons and it will play music! Dharma and I played piano for quite a while. We are very good. Mom said that we should go to someplace called “Carnegie Hall” and sell tickets for people to see us. I will have to check into that.

There is a lot to see and do at my Grandma and Grandpa’s house, so I will probably have to blog about it for a couple of days to show it all!  I went exploring, and found a piano that was just my size!  Grandma said that it was my Dad’s when he was a little boy.  I had to sit on some boxes to reach the buttons, but I played it even better than the big piano.  I think I should take this one with me to Carnegie Hall.

We also found a rocking chair that was just our size.  It plays music when you sit in it.  Me and Dharma are very musically talented.  This chair belonged to my Dad when he was little, too.

Mom said Dad took very good care of all of his toys.  She knows, because several years ago, they sold a lot of them on a thing called “eBay.”  They were vintage, just like in the antique stores, and people liked buying them.  I am glad that some of them are left, so I have something to play with at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

Grandma keeps a big bowl of fresh fruit in her kitchen, and she does not mind if we get up on the table and help ourselves.  She has a sunny yellow kitchen with flowers on the walls, and a sunny flowered yellow tablecloth, too.  Grandma’s kitchen is a very happy place.

We had a good time at my grandparents’ house.  Grandma made smothered chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and brownies for desert.   It was yummy!  And after dessert we got to play with some very cool things, which I will blog about later, because it is time for dinner here at home.  I hope we are having brownies like Grandma made.

I am so glad I have grandparents!  They are truly grand!
