My Triumphant Return!!
Today’s Fortune: You will be rewarded for your patience and understanding.
This is the best fortune ever! It has been a long time since I got to blog because Mom is always too busy to be Adult Supervision. But I was patient and understanding, and I am finally back!!!
For the last two months, I have not had to be a latchkey monkey! That is because of a thing called “Coronavirus.” It is also called “COVID-19.” And also a “pandemic.” The dictionary says a pandemic is where people get sick and it spreads all over the world. Mom and Dad have both been home all the time for over two months. Dad has meetings and stuff all day. Mom does not have meetings because her job is teaching art after school at Oklahoma City Girls Art School, and right now schools here are closed because of the pandemic.
Me and Puglet have had to learn a lot of new stuff because of Coronavirus. Like “social distancing.” That is where you have to stay at least 6 feet away from everyone. Mom has been making us wash our hands a hundred times a day, which I do not like. But at least it’s not a whole bath, because I really hate baths. Mom also makes us wear masks when we go out. She made us good ones on her sewing machine, and she let me pick out the fabrics.
Mom did a good job on the masks, and we were pretty excited to get them, because we love masks at Halloween. But these are not the same kind of masks, and we hate them. They are hot and stuffy, and it is hard to breathe in there.
We also thought it would be very fun to have reversible masks. That did not make them any funner, though. Mom says even if they are no fun, we will wear them because we want to be considerate of others, and masks can help prevent the spread of germs.
If I were doing one of my consumer reviews (like when Photojojo sent us an awesome bonus Rawwwwwr!), I would give these masks only one banana moonpie, and zero bonus Cheetos or Swedish fish. They are truly terrible. We hate Coronavirus!
Mom asked me if she could post about her projects here, and this time I told her she should get her own blog. I will let you know if she does. I have been patient and understanding long enough.
Love to all my aunties and all of the traveling JDTD monkeys who have visited us. Especially Dharma. And Sister Mary Monkey Pants. And Violet, Guy, Mary Mwnci, Ollie, Minx, Praline, Tron, and SassyLePoof! Even ValenTina Turner, wherever she is.
Stay safe, my friends.

Welcome back, Noah! It’s great to see you again! The masks are cute, but it’s no fun to have our red heeled smiles covered up. Take care, and stay healthy! XOXO Big Monkey

Omg Noah so good to see you back in action! Tron hopes you are misbehaving and eating lots of swedish fish. Because, as mom says, whatever weight you gain in a quarantine stays in quarantine! Say hello to Puglet!
Stay safe my friend,

Mom says she likes the way you think, Auntie Beth!! I have had some good gummy frogs and rainbow twizlers, but no Swedish fish. And Mom keeps eating all my Cheetos.
Mom sends hugs to you and Tron! We miss you!

Oh Noah, It is so wonderful to have you back. My smile was so big while reading your blog. I have missed you so much. I have a granddaughter now who will absolutely love hearing about your adventures. Stay well my dear friend and make sure your mama stays well too!! I agree about the masks (hate them) but we have to wear them to be a part of the bigger world.
Love you!!!
Noah
We love you too, Auntie Kymmie! Mom says congratulations – grandkids are the BEST! We love ours. We just wish they didn’t live so far away. We are all being very safe here. Mom goes out once a week for groceries, and to her doctors appointments. Dad has only been out like six times in the last 10 weeks. Mom says he does hermit much better than she does.
Love, Noah

yes Noah our sock monkeys get to dress up and wear fancy red hats just like their mamas do! My sweet sock monkey Lady Amethyst Pearl (Lady Pearl for short) is quite fond of wearing lots of rhinestones and feathers! And she is loving your blog and wondering why I haven’t made her a mask too!! Looks like I need to get busy!
