Moms and Tractor Blankets…..

Today’s Fortune: This weekend will afford you personal opportunity.

Very true. Today is Mother’s Day. This is a day to be grateful for your Mom, and do nice things for her. I am very thankful for my Mom, because she does all kinds of good stuff for me.  Today, I am helping her make sock monkeys. We have a bunch of them that are underway. We have had a mostly uneventful weekend, and I have spent most of it just resting.

Me and Cujo and the new pugs have been enjoying our new John Deere tractor blanket. Mom says it is an “afghan”. It was made for me by my dear friend Margaret.  Margaret lives in California, where all the happy cows are. Minx is her sock moose, and the blanket was Minx’s idea. It is wonderful. Margaret charted the design, and made the afghan just for me!!

That Minx has very good ideas. We might have to get some suggestions for stuff I can do for the next couple of weeks.   Mom is starting a big job tomorrow morning, and I will be a latchkey monkey for a while.

I hope it’s not like last time she had a big job, when I hardly got to blog any at all.  I will try to keep my blogging short, so maybe she will let me on here more often.  And I might just have dinner ready when she gets home, too!  After all, it’s the least I can do for my Mom.

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!

    Noah,

Your John Deere afghan is awesome! Your friend did a terrific job!

It’s not too bad being a latchkey monkey. Your mom will probably have lots of activities you can work on solo. That would be so nice if you make dinner for her! She will love it! Just keep your tail away from the hot burners on the stove.

    Hi, Kathryn!

I know!! Isn’t Minx the coolest? I think you need a sock moose at your house!

    Love, Noah
