According to my calculations….
Today’s Fortune: You will be traveling and coming into a fortune.
That is exciting news!! I have several trips coming up, so I know the traveling part will come true. And if the fortune part happens, I am ready. Mom bought me a big orange calculator, so I will be able to keep track of my fortune.
Even though I don’t have a fortune yet, I am already making good use of my giant calculator. I use it when I conduct Official Monkey Business.
I have spent the last week adding up all kinds of important numbers. Here are just a few of the figures I’ve come up with:
23 – Number of business cards I have left
2 – Number of friends who sent us stuff in the mail last week
2 – Number of packages that had special stuff for me in them
92 – Number of skeins of new yarn mom has bought in the last two months
7 – Number of days since my last blog post
3 – Number of days Mom has left to work on the job she is currently doing.
I’m very glad about that last number. I am tired of being a latchkey monkey and not getting to blog. Seven days is way too long to wait to blog.
Mom says I can probably get back to my regular blogging routine by Thursday or Friday. In the meantime, I’ll keep tabs on all of the monkey business here, and report about it later this week.

Noah,
Where will you be traveling to? That sounds exciting!
You look a bit like an accountant with that big orange calculator. Better watch out or your mom might make you do next year’s taxes for her.

Whoa! Noah. Your mom bought a lot of yarn. I bet she’s been really busy knitting it all up. It looks like you’re having a lot of fun with your calculator. Is it small enough for you to put in your bag? It looks kinda big.

Hi, Pugger!
I am pretty smart but not at math. That is why I have a big calculator! Love, Noah

Hi, Big Monkey!
I am planning to travel to NC to see my big brother and some of mom’s friends. Then I am going to go to NE and see my bigger brother and our grandbaby. We will have so much fun!
I will not do Mom’s taxes. I would rather Dad be the one who has to tell her how much she has to send to Uncle Sam.

Hi, Auntie Pam!
You would think Mom would have enough yarn by now, wouldn’t you? Especially since she does not ever knit hardly anything.
I do like my big calculator, but it does not fit in my bag. Mom has a little one that she says I can have for when I travel. If you want, I can add some stuff up for you when I see you in October. Mom says you will be buying lots of yarn then, and will probably need somebody to keep track of all of it for you.
