Today’s Fortune: May life throw you a pleasant curve.

Hmmm…. it sounds like my fortune thas more fun in store for me! I don’t mind if life throws me a pleasant curve, as long as there are not darts involved.

It is time again for another one of my famous Restaurant Reviews! This time, I will be reviewing McNellie’s Pub House in Oklahoma City. McNellie’s is one of our favorite places to go. We took Aaron and Adrianne there for dinner after the museum. My dad really likes McNellie’s because he likes to play darts, and McNellie’s has dartboards on the wall in the game room upstairs. I watched Dad and Aaron play darts for a while. Dad is pretty good, but Aaron needs some practice.

Dad and Aaron ordered some beers.  McNellie’s has a whole menu just for beers.  Dad says they are very good, but the only kind of beers I get to have are root beers.   We ordered some appetizers, and while we were waiting for them, me and Puglet went over to check out the dartboards.  We got to sit on a great big barrel and watch the action up close.

I didn’t play any darts because they look pretty sharp, but I did have fun watching Dad and Aaron.  We stayed out of the way, because you can tell that people don’t always hit the dart board, and we didn’t want to wind up being an accidental target.

Our appetizers arrived, and they were great!  We ordered fried pickles.  They are crispy and crunchy and spicy and sour all at the same time.  You dip them in ranch dressing, and they are just about the best!

The pickles were great, but dinner was even better!!  I got a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, thick crispy bacon, and extra pickles.  And instead of regular old boring french fries, I got some sweet potato fries with more ranch dressing.  It was really tasty, and there was so much food, I could not finish it all.

It was a delicious dinner, and we had a great time, which we always do at McNellie’s.  If you want a great dinner, McNellie’s is a good place to go.  Dad says their beers are really good, too.

I give McNellie’s my highest five twinkie rating, plus a bonus cheeto for having darts for Dad and fried pickles for me!  Yay, McNellie’s!!
