My funny Valentine…..
Today’s Fortune: The sun will always shine through your heart, into your smile, and warm your soul.
This fortune is so true, because I have a very warm soul today!! It was a very busy day, and I had many great adventures. Way too many for one day, so I will just talk about the wonderful things that are all Valentiney.
This afternoon, I got to give my Dad his Valentine present! It was a big bag of Ghirardelli chocolates. Those are square candies in three different flavors. He liked it very much, indeed!! He shared some of them with me (just like I was hoping he would!!)
Then he gave me my Valentines presents. I got the coolest pen ever! I will use it to write notes to remember stuff for my blog, and to write cards to Dharma. It has a wiggly cow on the top of it, and the cow has arms and legs that move. (It looks very happy, so I am pretty sure it is from California.)
Then, Dad said he had another present. An even better one. I could not imagine a present better than a wiggly cow pen, but then he surprised me with my very own John Deere tractor! This is not the kind you ride on. This is the kind you push around on the ground while you make tractor noises. Which is exactly what I did. The cats and the sisters did not like it much, but I don’t really care.
And just when I thought it could not get any better, I got a Valentine from my sweet Dharma! It is a card with hearts on it, and when you open the card it plays a song. The song is called “My Guy“, and I like it a lot. It is a very catchy tune. My Mom has been humming it all afternoon. She says she can’t get it out of her head. I don’t know why she would want to….it is grand!
She wrote a beautiful poem about sharing Rice Krispie treats with me, and she signed it, “Peace and love, Dharma Marmalade.” I heart Dharma even more than I heart Wal-Mart!
I had many other adventures today…. I went to have something called an “All-You-Can-Eat” breakfast, and wound up with gravy on my nose. I was not happy when Mom had to scrub my face.
I’ve noticed that we eat out a lot, so I have decided that I will start telling everyone about restaurants one or two times a week. That way, when people come to Oklahoma City, they will be able to know all the good places to eat. (Mom calls that a “Restaurant Review”. She said I could be a “critic”. I’m not so sure about that part. ValenTina is very critical, and I don’t like that much at all. I think I would rather just tell people what is good to eat.)
I also got to drive my Uncle Phil’s car today. It is vintage, but it is not shabby or ratty, like some vintage stuff is. He told me it is called a “Porsche”. He says it is a 1981 911SC. I’m not sure what that means. I really like it, though. It is red and shiny and very Valentiney. He is a very good monkey’s uncle.
Hey, Dharma!!! Check me out!!!
I did lots of other stuff today, too…. I got to color a Batman at the restaurant we went to tonight. (It was a great restaurant. I will have to review that one later this week.)
I also went to the Asian market and had many adventures there. I got a huge bag of fortune cookies, and I got in trouble with the store security officer when I was hugging a great big Hello Kitty. I will have to tell that story later, too, because it is late, and Mom says I need to go to bed soon.
I like to think about sun shining though my heart into my smile and making my soul all warm. That is so good. I can’t wait to see what awesome things I find in the rest of my fortune cookies!
Today’s Vocabulary Words: Restaurant review, critic, Porsche 911SC

Hi, Dharma! I will ask my Uncle Phil if he will take us for a ride. Maybe he will even let you drive it some. It is much cooler than Mom and Dad’s cars, but it does not have heated seats. Love, Noah
