I Heart Wal-Mart……
Today’s Fortune: Today will be memorable.
Today was not very memorable. It was actually pretty boring. All we did today was work on the sisters. ValenTina is impossible. All she does is boss me around, even though I made sure she got some very sparkaly eyeshadow. She decided today that she needed to extend her stage name. Now she is demanding to be called “Pink Floyd/ValenTina Turner.”
Tomorrow is Valentines Day and I am very excited, because this is the first year I have celebrated this holiday. It is all about telling people you love them, which is very nice. Earlier this week, Mom took me to a place called “Wal-Mart”. It was really cool!! I don’t know why Mom hates it so much. We always shop at Target, so it was nice to shop in a different store. A lot of people have been telling us that Wal-Mart had sock monkeys, so we went there to see if we needed to rescue any of them. They were all out of monkeys. I guess they either got adopted or they escaped. Either way, we were happy, because if you’re a monkey, living in a store (even a great store like Wal-Mart) is really just a homeless shelter.
Mom said I could look for a Valentine present for my Dad. I found a balloon that I thought would be perfect, but Mom said we had no place to hide it. It was too big. Wal-Mart has lots of great balloons!
I decided to look some more, and found some wonderful candy that I thought would be perfect. I hope he will share with me. It looks really yummy! Wal-Mart has tons of candy!!
We shopped some more, and it turns out that Wal-Mart has everything I like!! We got bananas, banana muffins, Twinkies, and Cheetos. Everything on our list, all right there at Wal-Mart!
I also got some Valentine candy for my sweetheart, Dharma. She got her package today, and she liked it a whole lot. She said she would be my Valentine!!! I wonder if she’s ever been to Wal-Mart? I will have to be sure to take her when she visits us!
When Dad got home we did the usual Friday night stuff. I did not have to keep a low profile at Grand House this time. I actually got to look at the menu. I ordered something called “Sechuan Vegetable with Long Bean”. It was really good. I even got chopsticks. And more fortune cookies!! I wonder if they have fortune cookies at Wal-Mart?
Now that I think about it, I guess my fortune was right after all. Today was pretty memorable. I got to eat Chinese food, and I got to see pictures of Dharma. I will try to forget about all the trouble with ValenTina, and focus on the good stuff.
Dharma has agreed to be my Valentine. I heart Dharma!!
Wal-Mart is a great and wondrous place. I heart Wal-Mart, too!! (I still don’t understand why Mom hates it so much.) Mom says I have drunk the Wal-Mart KoolAid. I haven’t, but it sounds delicious!! I will have to get some the next time we are there.
Today’s Vocabulary Words: Wal-Mart! Wal-Mart! Wal-Mart!
