Today’s Fortune: The current will bring you much happiness.

I’m not sure what this fortune means, but I think it means that happy stuff just flows my way, which happens all the time!

I will get back to telling about all of the good stuff I did on my summer vacation soon, but there have been a lot of fun things happen in the last week or two that I’m going to blog about this week.  Sister Mary Monkeypants left for Tennessee, me and Mom made some really good quilt blocks for some of our Ravelry friends, and we rescued another sock monkey from Buchanan’s.  I’ll have to tell about each one of those separately, because Mom says I have to keep my blog posts short.   She is starting a big painting job this week, so I will not have lots of time for blogging.  So today, I will just tell everybody about the great stuff we found at Target on Saturday.

We were doing our regular shopping, when we found the Halloween costumes!  These were not just ordinary costumes – they were costumes for cats and dogs!  One of our favorites was the blonde wig.  Our friend Easter is one of the pugs who lives at Puggerhugger’s house in Ashevegas.  We think Easter would look great in this wig, but Puggerhugger says Easter is going to be Princess Leia for Halloween.  We are excited to see that!

There were lots of good dog costumes.  They had a lobster suit and a squirrel outfit for dogs.  Those were pretty funny, but the best costumes were the cat hats!.  We are not sure why they even make cat hats, because we don’t know any cats who would tolerate wearing a hat.  Ours sure wouldn’t.  We know, because we tried.  But the cat hats are awesome, because they are just my size!  They had all kinds of extra-silly cat hats, and I wanted to get them all, but Dad said I had to choose just one because they were five dollars each, so I decided on the Jester hat!  It looks great with my bowling shirt, and fits me perfectly.  I may never take it off!

Mom says we will keep an eye on the cat hats at Target.  She says that they will eventually go on “clearance”.  That is when they put them on sale to get rid of them, and you can get a bargain!  I can’t wait, because they have a very good chicken hat that I really, really need.
