It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
Today’s Fortune: You will receive praise for a job well done.
My fortune cookies know everything! They obviously knew that Mom was going to let me decorate for Christmas. She says I did a great job! I am glad to finally get a chance to blog. It has been a whole month since I got to use the computer! Me and Mom have been very busy making stuff. But it is a secret for now, because the stuff we have been making is all on its way to our friends! I will blog about the good stuff I made as soon as I know everybody got their stuff.
Last weekend, Mom went out to the garage and brought in boxes and boxes of Christmas stuff! She has lots of Christmas trees, but this year she decided we would only put up two of them. She turned the decorating over to me and Puglet, and we did an awesome job! The first tree we decorated lives in our dining room. It has lights and berries, and buttons and spools of thread for ornaments. I had to use a ladder to reach the top of it.
I was really excited that Mom gave me a Santa hat! She wanted to make an elf suit for Puglet, but he vetoed that idea. He still has not gotten over having to be a candy corn for Halloween.
After we finished the button and spool tree, I got to decorate the really cool lime green tinsel tree that goes in the living room. It has neat stained glass ornaments that Mom made for it a few years ago. You have to be really careful when you decorate this one, because if you drop the ornaments, they break. And Mom does not want to make new ones, because she is tired of doing stained glass stuff. I was extra careful, and did not drop even one of them.
After trimming the trees, we got out Mom’s Santa collection. Mom used to collect Santas a long time ago, before she started collecting sock monkeys. They stayed out all year long, and Mom finally got tired of them. I can sure understand that. Santa can wear out his welcome, if you have to look at him all year.
Mom kept a few of her favorite Santas, and I got to hang out with them for a while.
One of the Santas is something called “ceramic”. It was made by my Dad’s grandma. It is really nice, and you can keep candy and stuff in his bag. I also found a ceramic Frosty the Snowman. He is a cookie jar, but he does not have any cookies inside him. I need to work on getting Mom to give Santa some candy and Frosty some cookies.
My very favorite thing of all the Christmas stuff was the Christmas kitties. You can pull them apart at the middle and put neat stuff in them, like little tiny presents. The best part is that they stack inside each other. I think it is really neat that they can all hide inside the big Santa cat.
I am hoping that I will get to blog a lot this week. Tomorrow morning we have to be at the airport at about 5:30. We are flying to North Carolina to visit my brother again. This time, we will get to see our brand new grandbaby!
Christmas is such a good time of year! I can’t wait until my friends all get their cards and packages. We mailed them at the post office on Monday, so they should be arriving soon! Merry Christmas early, everybody!!
Today’s Vocabulary Words: Ceramic.

Hi, Big Monkey!
As you can tell, I only thought I was going to get to blog in NC. My mom was too busy playing with our new grandbaby to do adult supervision on my brother’s computer. I did get to babysit, though. Wait until you get to see the pictures! I will be blogging about it this week. Mom promises I can blog a lot before Christmas. But she’s promised stuff like that before, and then she gets busy. Wish me luck on lots of blogging!
Love, Noah
