I Heart Big Truck Tacos!!!
Today’s Fortune: Your sports team will be very successful this year.
That is an interesting fortune. I don’t really have a sports team. My Uncle Phil does, though. He really likes the Oklahoma State University Cowboys, but he is sick of them losing football games. My fortunes are almost never wrong, so I think I will give this fortune to Uncle Phil. He needs it more than I do.
Last night, we got to go to a place called Big Truck Tacos! It was super good, and I have decided it is time for another one of my famous Restaurant Reviews!
There are lots of good things on the menu at Big Truck Tacos. They have soups, chips with different sauces, salads, burritos, all kinds of side dishes, and of course, tacos! We found us a good table to sit at while we were deciding.
When we went up to place our order, they had a fun horse there. Mom says this is called a “pinata.” You are supposed to fill a pinata with candy and hit it with a stick until the candy falls out. I don’t know about that. I might be able to hit a Wal-Mart bag full of candy with a stick, but not a nice horse.
We placed our order and while we were waiting, I discovered that Big Truck Tacos has five different kinds of salsas!! This made us very happy! (I know Uncle Phil does not look happy in this picture, but he is not unhappy with Big Truck Tacos. He is unhappy with football. He just checked the score of the OSU Cowboys football game on his iPhone.)
They have a special chart so you can tell what kind of salsa you are getting. They range from Mild to Hot. I asked Mom what “OMG” and “OMFG” meant, but I don’t think she heard me, because I did not get an answer. So I tried them all, and figured out that “OMG” means Extra BAM!!! and “OMFG” means Super-Extra BAM!!!
We started out with some chips, and we had some guacamole and queso with them. The guacamole was super tasty, and the queso was warm and creamy and delicious. We ate every bite!
Mom ordered flautas to share with me and Puglet. We got the ones with beef and roasted corn, but they also have a Borracho Chicken, and you can have both, if you want. It comes with sour cream, pico de gallo, and avocado sauce. The flautas are crispy and delicious, and the beef filling is nicely seasoned and spicy. We loved them!
Dad ordered tacos. This is what we will have next time, because they were even more delicious than the flautas! He got two different kinds. The one on the left is a Beef Al Carbon. It has coffee-rubbed grilled steak strips, with roasted onions and poblano peppers, and it was super-yummy.
The taco on the right was the best one of all! This one is called a “5th Amendment.” The menu listing for this one just says, “We’re sorry… We plead the 5th. We’re not at liberty to tell you – trust us!” The 5th Amendment is a mystery surprise taco, and it is different every day! The one Dad got had grilled shrimp, roasted red peppers and fresh spinach. It was fantastic, and the surpise part makes ordering this taco loads of fun!!
Big Truck Tacos also has a big fish bowl for you to put your business card in! I was really excited to see this, and I added my card to the ones in the bowl.
You may be wondering why they call it “Big Truck Tacos”…. It is because, in addition to the restaurant, they also have a Big Truck! They take yummy stuff to different places in Oklahoma City, and if you follow them on Twitter, you can figure out where they are going to be each day.
We have not chased the taco truck yet, but I’ll bet you have to get there quick! This food is so good they probably sell out in no time!
When we were leaving, we noticed that the sign outside said “I spy something new at Big Truck. Stay tuned…”
We surely will. We can’t wait to see what is in store for us from Big Truck Tacos.
Big Truck Tacos gets my highest rating – Five Twinkies!!! I am also awarding them two bonus cheetos for having a fun pinata, three bonus Swedish fish for letting me put my business card in a fish bowl, and a bonus chocolate-covered mystery snack for having superc-secret-surprise tacos!!
I heart Big Truck Tacos!!!!
Today’s Vocabulary Words: Pinata, OMG, OMFG

Hi, Cally!
Yay!! I get to be on TV!!! Mom just made me take a bath, which I did not like at all, but I guess it was a good thing. Now my nose won’t be all smudged up with coffee stains if they do a closeup shot of me!

Hi, DeeDee!
I am very excited! I don’t have a jacket, but I have my nice warm sweater and scarf, so I should be okay. And the really cold stuff won’t get here until tonight. I will be back home safe and warm by then.
