My Public Service Announcement….
Today’s Fortune: Today is a lucky day for those who remain cheerful and optimistic.
This fortune is completely wrong. Me and Puglet are always cheerful and optimistic, but this was not the luckiest day we have ever had.
Mom has been sewing all week, and she has not been any fun at all. I wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies, but she was too busy to be Adult Supervision, so me and Puglet were on our own for snacks. We got out our shopping cart and went shopping in the kitchen. We found some cheesecake flavored Jello pudding, some wasabi peas and some fried crab chips that looked extra fun!
The snacks all looked good, but they turned out to be very disappointing. The pudding was not pudding at all. It was cheesecake flavored dust. We had already eaten it before I figured out that you have to add milk to it to turn it into pudding. And I usually like wasabi peas, but these were stale. We ate them anyway.
I was really looking forward to the fried crab chips, especially since the pudding and the wasabi peas were so terrible. I thought fried crab chips would be delicious. I was wrong. I tried one and spit it out, because it was so icky. It tasted like fish-flavored styrofoam. Unfortunately, Puglet hogged down eleven of them before he realized how yucky they were. This is what happened to him.
He has had a tummy ache all afternoon. We put those fried crab chips in the trash. We did keep the can, because it is still pretty fun. If you have some of these at your house, you can save the can, but you should get rid of the chips. Otherwise you will wind up just like Puglet.
I have decided I should probably warn everybody that fried crab chips are not nearly as fun as you might think. This is called a “Public Service Announcement.” My Public Service Announcement is this:
Friends don’t let friends eat fried crab chips.
Mom felt so bad for Puglet that she said I could make cookies later. So maybe being cheerful and optimistic is lucky after all.

Oh dear. Did you give Puglet some Tums or Rolaids? I bet he would feel much better if you did. Hmm, I think you may have to have a little tiny bit of Adult Supervision with your snacks.

Hi, Auntie Pam!
No. I did not give Puglet any medicine. I will have to try that next time he eats a bunch of yucky stuff. He is feeling better now, but it was a long afternoon for him. I think we will stick to snacks we know from now on.

Poor Puglet! DeeDee is so sorry that you had a tummy ache after those chips. I know, I have eaten a bunch of things only to find out that it was super gross.
Enjoy your cookies!! And thanks for the service announcement, I will definitely stay away from crab chips!

I’m sorry your snacks turned out to be so disappointing. My sons like picking out fun-looking items from the international market but sometimes also discover they are not as yummy as the package led them to believe.
Here on the East Coast we have Utz brand snacks. They make a delicious crab potato chip as well as a fun party mix.
I enjoy your blog, Noah, keep up the great work!

Hi, DeeDee!
It’s not so bad… Mom felt so terrible that Puglet was sick that she decided to let us cook today! I made sausage balls and caramel corn again, and I have a nice roast in the crock pot. We are iced in, so there’s not much to do besides cook and eat.

Hi!
I will have to look for Utz brand snacks. I don’t think we have them here in Oklahoma. Maybe I can find them on the internet. We always like to find fun snacks!
