Sister Mary is in the House!!!
Today’s Fortune: Old friends are the best friends.
This is a great fortune, and right at the best time! We got a package in the mail, and when I opened it up, it was my friend Sister Mary Monkeypants!! I have not seen her since she was here last summer. She has been spending the winter with our friend JollyPyrate (I call her my Aunti Naomi) in Florida, but she came in because I am having a birthday soon, and she wanted to be here for the party!
I figured she would be tan from spending so much time in Florida, but she is still just pink and purple.
I helped her out of her Priority box, which was not easy, because she had a bunch of stuff crammed in there with her. She brought presents! A lot of it was good stuff for Mom. There were three skeins of soft yarn from Green Mountain Spinnery in a nice shade of light sea green. And there were three containers of something called “whipped soap”. I’m not sure what that is, but it looks a lot better than Woolite.
There are three different kinds… The big green colored one is called Pacifics, and the two little ones are Apple Cinnamon Friendship Bread and Cannoli. It smells good enough to eat, but I didn’t, because Mom said it would give me a tummy ache. After seeing how Puglet felt when he ate fried crab chips, I don’t want to take a chance. Mom also got a hand-knitted washcloth shaped like a starfish. She loves it all!
Sister Mary brought stuff for me, too! I got a deck of pirate cards, and six packages of Glee Gum!!! She taught me a card game called “War”, and we have been chewing so much gum our jaws are tired. Mom says she hopes SMMP does not get gum in her hair. I hope not, either. That would be a mess.
SMMP has been reading my blog and she asked me how come I never blogged about all of the good stuff we did last summer. I told her I just never got around to it. (I did not blame Mom, even though it was her fault for being too busy to let me blog most of the time.) SMMP said that was okay, we can blog about it together while she is here. She says it will be a “Sister Mary Retrospective.”
I am so glad to have old friends showing up for my party. We are going to have a great time! There are more monkeys that will be arriving over the next few days. I sure hope we have enough party hats.
Today’s Vocabulary Words: Whipped soap, War, retrospective.

Wish I could be there, Noah. But, as you know, Auntie Tracy is coming here for the weekend. We will celebrate your birthday on Sunday by buying yarn and eating cake, okay? Unless, Aunt Tracy is a popsicle by then and I have to thaw her out to get her back to Oklahoma. She will travel by plane. She may be tiny, but she won’t fit in a priority mail box like your friends.

Golly gee, glad to see you are a fan of Glee!
Happy to hear you like the gum, and to meet my first sock monkey chum!
If you ever get to the store and want to buy more, here is a coupon to buy one pack of Glee and get another one free!
