We finally have sweaters!!!

Today’s Fortune: You do not have to worry about your future.

That is very true.  Mom takes very good care of me. And Dharma, too.

I am glad I finally got a chance to blog. We were out late last night, so I didn’t get to blog yesterday, and we had some computer problems today, so I have had to wait. Waiting is not fun.

We had to wait to get our sweaters, but Mom finally got them done, and they are great!! Mom used the sweater pattern for “Thomas” from The Knitted Teddy Bear.

We got to choose our own yarn. Dharma chose some Cascade Quatro in a nice cranberry color.

Cranberry is Dharma’s favorite color and it looks beautiful on her.  Mom knitted the sweater with size 9 needles, and added length to the sleeves, a few extra stitches in the width, and made the neck opening bigger, too.  Dharma has very good ears and lots of hair, and we had trouble getting Buddy’s sweater on and off over her head.  The adjustments Mom made were perfect!

Dharma wanted my sweater to sort of match hers, so I chose some Cascade Quatro, too.  Mom says that is “worsted” weight yarn, which surprised me, because we thought it was pretty good.  If this is the worsted, I would really like to see the bested.  I chose a nice purpley-blue color for my sweater.

As you can see, I look very good in it.  Mom used size 9 needles for mine, too.  She had to make mine a little skinnier, and she did not make the neck opening as big.  She says that our sweaters are “custom fit.”  We really like how well she made them fit us.  We are also very glad that Buddy can have back the red sweater that I was borrowing when I picked out my yarn.

We got to wear our new sweaters to dinner last night.  We went back to Irma’s Burger Shack, because Dharma had never been there.  We were very excited to see that they had Spongebobs to color this time!  We were smart and brought our own crayons with us.

We saw Ryan there again, and we gave him one of my business cards.  We were so excited about getting to color a Spongebob that we hardly ate anything, but what we did have was excellent.  It always is!  We did a very good job on our Spongebob, I think.  It helps to have lots of crayons with you.

We noticed that there were no colored pictures hanging up when we came in, so we think maybe they don’t let you tape them up anymore.  That was okay.  Mom said Dharma could keep our Spongebob as a “souvenir”.  That is something to remember a good time by.  Dharma can take it with her to keep forever.

I wonder what happened to my Batman?
