Vote in Our Creature Contest!!!
Today’s Fortune: Your flair for the creative takes an important place in your life.
Another very true fortune We had to get very creative today, because we could not play outside. We were really looking forward to that, because yesterday it snowed again. All of our friends back east were having sunshine and 70 degree weather, but we were getting another blizzard. Dharma poked her head outside yesterday and told us that it was looking like we would get to have a snow day today!
Unfortunately, the snow did not stick around. We got up this morning and wanted to go build a snowman. Mom said the snow was melting so fast that all we would wind up with was a mudman. A mudman did not sound very fun. Plus, making a mudman would probably wind up making me have to have another Woolite bath, so we decided to stay inside where it was warm. And not muddy.
I decided to use my flair for the creative to come up with something fun for us to do. Me and Dharma got out my Shapescapes that I got for my birthday, and we announced a Creature Contest!!
Of course, everyone wanted in on the fun! We decided we would each make a creature, and let everyone who reads my blog vote on their favorite! So here are our contest entries:
Calvin Klein built a bird-lizard thing with a pointy star on its head. He calls it Gork.
Praline’s creature was fun and playful. She named her creation Sunny Boy.
Guy used the sunshine face, too, but his was tall and skinny. Guy decided to name his creature Mr. Bojangles.
We were not surprised at all when Sister Mary Monkeypants made an angel. She says her creature is called Hark, All Ye Silly People.
Rufus was very pleased with his creature! He named it Dino the Frawg-Dawg.
Dharma’s creature is very cute, too! It has horns, and a long wiggly tail. It also rocks back and forth, so she named it Rocky.
Mine had a long wiggly tail, too, and he had reindeer antlers. And blue feet. He looked a lot like a dog, so I named him Spot. (I was kind of glad to take him apart, because all he did was bark in my ear.)
We let Puglet, Walter, and Flipper team up for their creature. This might have given them an advantage. Their creature had two heads, and lots of pieces. They call it Plastic Fantastic.
So now it is time to vote!! We will have an awards ceremony later this week for the winner, so let your vote count!
Our voting will run until midnight on Wednesday. May the best creature win!!

Hi, Auntie Kim!
Rufus did a really good job! I just hope Puglet, Walter and Flipper didn’t get too much of an advantage getting to work as a team. Their creature is ginormous. We didn’t know they could even reach that high.

Hi, Big Monkey!
We are all glad that you like our creatures! Guy is really proud that Mr. Bojangles is doing so well in the voting, but he is too cool to let on.

Your sock monkeys inspire and amaze me! They are impossible to vote for! They are all so fabulous! I was trying to see how I could mix solids and stripes together and your sock monkeys have given me some great ideas! Now if only I was good at knitting their clothes like you have!

Hi, Kimberly!
I am glad you liked our creatures! And it is good that you are doing sock monkey stuff. Mom does a pretty good job making us clothes and stuff. They fit a lot better than bear outfits.
