Official Monkey Business….

Today’s Fortune: Let there be magic in your smile and firmness in your handshake.

That’s a pretty good fortune. I think I have a magical smile already, but I might need some practice on the handshake.  I just found out that a good handshake is very important.  Especially now that I am ready for Official Monkey Business.

I have noticed that when I am out and about, doing the stuff I do, most people seem to want to know all about me.  It’s probably that magical smile thing. Every time people ask about me, Mom tells them about my blog, and then she scrounges in her purse for a scrap of paper to write it down so people can see all of my good adventures. Dad told her I needed something called “Business Cards”. Business cards are what you hand out to people so they will remember you later.

Dad ordered me some business cards last week. They are very good, I think. They have my picture and some stuff about me, and they tell people to come here to see what I am doing.

Mom gave me a really good business card holder, too.  That is what you keep your business cards in on your desk.  I do not have a desk, so I am using the coffee table to conduct Official Monkey Business.

I don’t do much Official Monkey Business, because it is pretty boring.  I really don’t have many official duties beyond sitting there with the business cards and trying to look like an executive.  But it is nice to have cards to hand out to people.

The business cards come in handy for other stuff, too.  Me and Calvin Klein play a game called “Concentration.”  That is where you put all of the cards face down, and if you get a match you get to go again until you don’t get a match.  We take turns going first .  Whoever goes first always wins, because the cards are all the same.

Having business cards has not made me all stuffy and boring like the businessmen I see on CNN.  Those guys don’t look like they have any fun at all.

I still have lots of fun!  Today I am playing with my monkey hand puppet and checking out some stuff my Mom’s friend Pam gave to her.  It is called “Anti-Monkey Butt Powder”.  She has not used it on any of us yet.  I hope she doesn’t.  I should probably hide it somewhere.

The business cards have been interesting to hand out so far.  People always laugh when they get a business card from me.  I wonder why that is?   I’m not sure if they are laughing because they love my magical smile, or if they are laughing at my not-so-firm handshake.

I guess I will keep working on my grip and grin techniques.

Today’s Vocabulary Words: Business cards, Anti-Monkey Butt Powder (???!!!)

    Hi Noah,

I like your business cards! I need to get some of those too.

That monkey on the Anti Monkey Butt powder has a red butt just like us. You better make sure that your mom doesn’t sprinkle some on you when you’re sleeping. Ha ha!

    Take care,
    Big Monkey

P.S. – I wanted to share an article with you in a local publication about me and my sock monkey family last fall. Here’s the link.

    Hi, Big Monkey!

Wow! You are famous. You definitely need some business cards. And maybe some bodyguards. I hid that Anti-Monkey Butt powder. We are not taking any chances around here. Love, Noah

    Hi, SassylePoof!!!

I think that is a good idea, but if I use it and she disappears, who will we send to your house for TSM? I got to play with some good sparkalie stuff this morning – you will have to play with it too, when you get here. You will love it. Love, Noah

Oh Noah, never fear. The anti-monkey butt powder is only for times when you need it, so your butt doesn’t start to look like the monkey in the picture. It’s safe. Honest.

    Hi, Pam!

If you say so….we are kind of scared of it. Anything that says anti-monkey anything makes us a little leery. We will use it if we need it, but we will probably test it on ValenTina, just to be safe. Love, Noah
