Today’s Fortune: You will soon gain something you have always wanted.

This is a silly fortune. I already have a John Deere Tractor afghan and a pirate monkey nutcracker. I’m not sure what else there is to want.

It has been a while since I reviewed books, and I thought it would be a good time to review the newest ones in my library. Mom and Dad took me to Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago, and I got to get several new books. The first one is called Stray Sock Sewing, and it is by Daniel.

This book has lots of very good creatures that you can make from socks, and good step-by-step directions if you have never made a sock creature before. It has a bunch of excellent photos and is a lot of fun!  There are cats, dogs, pigs, bunnies, zebras, bears, and more in this one.

I give this one 5 pezzes, and I am planning to make some sock creatures of my own very soon!  I recommend this book to anybody who wants to make a sock creature for the first time.

The next book I got was Stupid Sock Creatures. It is by John Murphy. This one is really, really good. It has all kinds of zany creatures in it, and it gives some pretty good directions for how to make them, too. The creatures are funny and kind of scary, but mostly very, very silly.

This book also gets 5 pezzes, plus a bonus Cheeto for being extra-silly!  I highly recommend it!!

The last book I got is called The Silly Book. This one is by Stoo Hample.    I expected The Silly Book to be the silliest book of all.  It was very silly, but did not seem quite as silly as the Stupid Sock Creatures book.  It has funny rhymes with made up words and some very good silly pictures, and even a silly recipe.  It is a very silly book.  It was just not quite as silly as those wacky sock creatures.

Despite the fact that The Silly Book was a little less silly than that sock creature book, I still have to give it 5 pezzes, because it is an excellent book.  Plus, it gets a bonus Swedish Fish for the author having a pretty silly name.

My library keeps getting bigger.  I think I will have to have a special “Silly Section” soon.
