Noah's Adventures,  People and Places

Think Global……..

Today’s Fortune: You will step on the soil of many countries.

That is a very interesting fortune. I hope it comes true, because I would like to travel all over and see neat places. We will have many monkeys visit us from around the world, but I don’t get to travel like they do because mom says she is worried that the post office might lose me.

This is part three of my literary work about Grandma and Grandpa’s house. They have the best stuff ever!  My Grandma has some things called “snow globes.”    They have scenes from New York, and were sent to Grandma by my Uncle Larry, who is Dad’s brother.  I have not met Uncle Larry yet.  He lives in Florida, but he used to live in New York, which is why he sent the globes.

One of the globes has tall buildings that Mom says are the “skyline.”  The other one has buildings from a place called “Times Square”.  You can shake them and make them look like it is snowing inside.  They also play music.  It is fun to wind them both up and listen to the songs play at the same time.  It makes a lot of fun noise.

Dharma found some more globes at Grandma’s.  They are a set of glass grapes, and they match Dharma’s my bowling shirt.  These were very popular in the 1960’s and 1970’s.  They are retro, and that makes them popular again for people who collect retro stuff.

After we played with the globes and grapes, Grandma got out some really good toys.  They belonged to my Uncle Larry when he was little, and they are vintage.  Vintage is just a little bit older than retro.  They are made of metal, and are still in good shape.  They were very fun to play with.

We took turns playing with them, but my favorites were the road grader and the steam shovel.  We did not take them outside to play, which was too bad, because they would have worked better if I’d had some dirt.

Dharma really liked the big orange truck.  It has a ramp, and you can put the steam shovel on it when you are done digging.

We really enjoyed playing with all of the cool stuff at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  I’m really looking forward to going back and seeing what else Grandma and Grandpa have to play with.  I’m sure there’s much more, because I didn’t even look in any of the closets.  There’s probably lots of good stuff we haven’t found yet!

Grandparents are the best!

I wish I had a Grandma and Grandpa!
Dharma, do you need anything from home? I hope you did’t forget anything.
We are starting to think about camping again. It’s getting warm enough now.
I hope Noah can come visit sometime and camp with us.
Noah, have you ever been to Connecticut?

    Hi, Tron!

You can come visit my Grandma’s house anytime. Grandma will probably even make you some Hello Dolly squares. Those are her specialty. She makes them better than anybody in the world. Love, Noah

    Hi, Mom!!

I think I have everything I need for now. Noah’s mom finished my sweater, and she is hopefully going to make us some jeans and other things this weekend. I so wish I could go camping with you, but I am also enjoying all of the adventures here. Maybe when I come home, Noah can come camping with us. Hugs and kisses to you! – Dharma

    Hi, Brenda!

I have not been to Connecticut yet, but we sent our friend Tron to live at Featherhead’s house. He loves it there. I hope I can come camping with you guys! That would be lots of fun! I’m just not sure what I would do about my blog. If I turn it over to Mom, she will blog on and on about knitting, and bore everybody to death. Love, Noah

    Hi, Big Monkey!

You should come visit me at my house like the Traveling Sock Monkeys are doing. I would take you to Grandma’s and you could check out all those cool toys in person. They even have a really cool vintage car at their house. It is a very fun place to go. Love, Noah

    Hi, Kym!

The snow globes are really neat. We especially liked playing both songs at once. Mom says that gives her a headache. Love, Noah

    Noah,

I would love to come visit you, but Laura doesn’t trust the USPS to let me travel solo. If they lost me, she would be heartbroken so it’s not worth the risk 🙁

Unfortunately, that impedes my yearn to travel. Thanks for the invitation though!

    Hi, Big Monkey!

I am sad that you can’t come visit, but I understand. Mom feels the same way about sending me anywhere. I guess we’ll just have to keep an eye on each other through our blogs. Too bad. Just imagine the big adventures we’d have if the two of us ever got together! Love, Noah
