Today’s Fortune: Friendship knows no boundaries.

Today is Dharma’s last official day here. Tomorrow I will help her get packed up, and we will take her to the Post Office to head to the next stop on her TSM adventures.

Today, we decided to make “friendship bracelets”. Those are bracelets you make and trade with your best friend in the whole world, and you both wear them to remind yourselves of your friend when you are not with them.  I will think of Dharma every time I look at my bracelet, and she will think of me, too.

First, we got out our bracelet making supplies. We had a whole package of alphabet beads, and we also got out heavy quilting thread and a needle.

Then we sorted out all the letters we wanted to use.  Dharma’s bracelet says “Noah Loves Dharma”, and mine just says “Noah” and “Dharma” with hearts in between our names.

After we picked out our letters, I sewed Dharma’s bracelet on to her wrist, and she sewed my bracelet on to me.   We used lots of good strong thread to bind the beads together, and we will wear them forever, and never take them off.  They are permanent.  Just like us.

It is good to know that no matter where we are or where we go, we will always be friends, and we will always have a special place in our hearts for each other.

That’s how it is with friends.
