Hideaway Pizza!!!!

Today’s Fortune: You are far more influential than you think.

That is an interesting thought to ponder. I’m not sure how much I have influenced anyone yet. I still don’t see any other sock monkeys while I’m on my adventures, but I am hoping maybe that will change.

Today I get to critique another restaurant!! Mom says people actually get paid for doing this. I will have to look into that. That sounds like the job to have.

Tonight we went to a place called Hideaway Pizza.  (That little clicky thing shows the location in Stillwater, Oklahoma. That is where Hideaway started out. We did not eat at the one in Stillwater. We ate at the one on Western Avenue in Oklahoma City. But the Stillwater website is much quieter than the Oklahoma City one, and it is late, so we don’t want to disturb anybody with a lot of noise.)

I had never eaten pizza before, so I was very excited! My Uncle Phil and Aunt Karon had dinner with us. Uncle Phil helped me pick out some very good stuff from the menu.

We had something Mom called an “appetizer”.  That is something they bring to you so that you can eat before you eat.  Our appetizer was fried mushrooms.  They were very crispy and delicious!

Dad also ordered us a pizza.  Pizza is a round crust with all kinds of tasty stuff on it.  It was thick and yummy with lots of stretchy cheese, peppers and some spicy slices of meat called “pepperoni.”  I figured out that I love pizza!!  Mom got toasted ravioli and a salad.  It did not look nearly as interesting as my pizza, but she said it was very good, too.

The girl who brought us our food was very nice and cute.  Her name was Traci, and she liked me, too.  Maybe I am more influential than I think.  So far, most everybody I have asked has agreed to have their picture taken with me.  She had on a very colorful shirt.  Everyone who worked there had different colorful shirts, and they also sell them, if you would like to buy one.  Mom says that is called a “tie-dye” shirt.  Mom has two Hideaway shirts of her own, but we did not find one in my size.

It was a lot of food, and we could not finish it all.  They brought us a “to go box.”  That is what they give you so you can put your dinner in it, because you were too full from eating before you ate.   It has a Shmoo on it.  It is very fun, and does a nice job of holding leftovers.

They have all kinds of good stuff at Hideaway.  There are big colorful kites hanging from the ceiling everywhere.  I wanted to ride on one, but Dad said I should just look, instead.

Hideaway Pizza is very popular with everyone, it seems.  They were voted the best.  I wish I could have voted, but I don’t think my vote would have made much of a difference, because I would have voted them the best, too.

I give Hideaway Pizza my highest 4-Twinkie rating!!  (Plus a bonus Fun Club cookie for giving me a Shmoo box for my leftovers.)

I hope everyone will read this and be influenced to go eat at Hideaway Pizza.  I would hate to let the guy who writes all those fortunes down.

Today’s Vocabulary Words: Appetizer, pepperoni, tie-dye, to-go box

    Hi, Mama Fru!

We will definitely make sure to take Sassy to Hideaway when she is here. She may get fat while she visits. We eat at a lot of good places. We had Dim Sum for lunch. We will have to take her for that, too…It was really good! Love, Noah

    Hi, Sock Monkey Queen!

S’Morey should review the North Carolina restaurants for his blog. It is fun to review restaurants. My human brother lives in North Carolina. We will go to see him soon. He has not met me yet, because he was in Afghanistan when Mom rescued me. It will really surprise him to know that he has a monkey brother. Love, Noah

    Hi Noah,

Ok I am going to start reviewing food with marshmallows. They are so yummy, and when you put a marshmallow, graham cracker, and chocolate, which is how I got my name: S’morey. I am very sweet, my mommy tells me so. 🙂

    Hi, S’morey!

Marshmallows are tasty. I think that is what they melt up and put inside of Twinkies. I will have to try that thing with the graham crackers. Do you think it would work with Fun Club cookies? Love, Noah

    Hi Noah,

I have never tried Fun Club cookies, but I am sure that will be tasty. You have never tried a smore, they are the best. S’morey is addicted hence the name S’morey.

    Love,
