Guts, eyeballs, and other stuff….
Today’s Fortune: A financial investment will yield returns beyond your hopes.
Wow! I can’t believe how true these fortunes are! A few days ago, I invested in some socks to make a couple of colorful sisters for me to play with. They are starting to take shape, and they are definitely way beyond what I had hoped for. Mom keeps telling me, “Be careful what you wish for.” She is very wise. Maybe she can fill in for the guy who writes fortunes when he goes on vacation.
The sisters won’t let me show pictures of them, because they want to do something they call a “reveal”. I can tell you that Cissy Longstocking is far bigger than I’d ever hoped. She is 34 inches tall!! She’s the longest, skinniest monkey I have ever seen. And Pink Floyd/ValenTina is much stranger than I had ever hoped. She keeps talking about her stage act, and telling us she’ll be in her dressing room, if we need her. (I looked up “drag queen” on Wikipedia, and I think mom is right about her…)
We took another field trip this morning. This time, we went to a place called Hancock Fabrics. We had to get eyes, guts, and stuff to make something for the sisters to wear. They had a whole wall full of eyeballs! I was very careful to pick good ones, because I didn’t want the sisters to have cataracts like I used to.
Before we left home Pink Floyd/ValenTina told me to be sure to get her some fancy fabrics for a stage show costume. She also told me to get her some glitter eyeshadow. And cigarettes. And a wild turkey. Mom said I should just ignore her, but I really don’t want to make her mad. I did find some really nice shiny material that I thought would make a good outfit for her. It was hanging on a wall in what mom called “bolts”. These big rolls of material did not look like bolts to me. They were really soft to pat, though.
I also found some colorful fancy things with feathers all over them. Mom said these are called “boas.” I got one for ValenTina. It was the closest thing to a wild turkey that they had in the store.
Then we had to get some stuffing for them. I found a big red box that was full of sister guts. (I know that’s kind of gross, but guts are pretty important. Without them, you’re really just a chopped up sock. )
We also had to get yarn to make hair, thread, felt, and stuff called “trims” which are shiny-sparkaly things that girls like. By the time we were done the investment was much more than I had expected. I’ve figured out that girls need a lot of stuff. And they are very expensive.
Speaking of girls, I finally got to see a picture of Dharma!! She is so cute. She has wonderful ears and silky soft braids. I think she likes me a lot. I like her, too.
My investments are paying off. Some of them not quite like I’d expected, but all of them far beyond what I’d hoped for.
I wonder how the fortune cookie guy knows so much. I also wonder how he gets those fortunes inside the cookies without breaking them. Maybe if Mom fills in for him sometime, she can find out.

NOAH!!! You will be the best sock monkeh brother ever for getting your sissies sparkley, glittery stuff.
If ValenTina is too much to handle, send her over to SassylePoof! and we’ll take care of her here for a bit!!!
We loves the pictures of your field trip!!
Noah
Can I send her today? We just finished her mouth and she looks very crabby. I made sure she had glittery eyeshadow, and she still does not look happy. She is very bossy, and I have to do everything she says. I am scared not to. Does SassylePoof! have a safe place to stay if we send ValenTina to visit?
Love, Noah
