My Magnetic Personality….
Today’s Fortune: People are drawn to your magnetic personality.
Wow! My fortune cookies know everything! We are finally back from our visit to North Carolina, and I brought my magnetic personality home in our suitcase.
A lot has happened since the last time I got to blog. I got to see my brother and sister-in-law, our new grandbaby, and their good yellow cat. I also got lots of presents in the mail while I was gone, so I will probably have to spend several days telling about them all. But first, I have to tell about the good stuff I did when we first got to North Carolina.
The airplane had something called “turbulence” while we were flying out to see my brother. Turbulence means that you don’t get to have a cookie and juice on the airplane, so we were really hungry by the time we gathered up our luggage in Fayetteville. My brother suggested that we go have Mexican food at a place called Monterrey. It was really tasty, but I was so full of chips and salsa by the time we ordered that I had to take my lunch home in a box. They don’t have a website that I can find to link to, but if you are ever in Fayetteville, NC, you should go there. It is really good food, and not very expensive. I give it a 5 twinkie rating!!
When we finished our lunch, we went to a place called Holmes Fine Gifts. They had all kinds of fun stuff there. They had tons of Santa stuff, and I had fun checking it all out. I hope I get to meet the real Santa someday.
I found some really good stuff to take home to my Dad. I got him some milk chocolate butter almond toffee, which is really tasty. I also got him some Lake Country chocolate rocks!! I have never seen chocolate rocks before. I would really like to visit Lake Country someday and gather up a bunch of these to bring home with me. The ones in our backyard all taste like dirt.
The main reason we went to this shop was because my brother said they had lots of good sock monkey stuff. Boy, was he right!! They had lots of colorful sock monkeys, sock monkey hangers, a sock monkey bank, sock monkey clothes, sock monkey nightlights, and even a sock monkey clock!
But the best thing they had was a sock monkey magnetic personality!! We had never seen one of these before. It cost $17.95, and I only had my 12 quarters from my allowance, which Mom said was not enough. Mom said she would buy it for me, and I could save my quarters. She is a very good Mom.
I could not wait to get home to stick my sock monkey personality to the fridge! He is lots of fun. He came with words, and bananas, and colorful balls to juggle, too! I am really glad to have a magnetic personality! I think everybody should get one.
We like to hang out on the fridge together, and Mom and Dad have fun moving him and his stuff around. My fortune for today is true. Everyone is drawn to my magnetic personality!

Big Monkey
Noah,
I love your new magnet friend! He is cool! I have some of the colorful stuffed sock monkeys you saw in that store, including my 4′ tall friend Scarlet.
I’m glad you had fun visiting your brother and his family.
Merry Christmas!
XOXO Big Monkey

Hi, Big Monkey!
I really like your friend Scarlet! Those monkeys are expensive – even the little ones. I’ll bet she is high maintenance.
Love, Noah
Big Monkey
Noah,
Laura’s mom got Scarlet at a department store up north, and she was actually on sale. She’s a pretty good girl, but that’s because her boyfriend Gunther treats her real well.
Your pal,
Big Monkey
Noah
Hi, Big Monkey!
I sure hope we can meet Scarlet and Gunther, too, if we get to come visit in Florida sometime. And Officer PoPo and all of your other friends. You may have more monkeys at your house than we do…. which is a whole bunch.
