More Monkey Gifties!!

Today’s Fortune: Good luck will continue to come your way.

This is a very good fortune! Good luck always seems to come my way. I am glad to hear that it will keep coming!

We just keep getting presents from our Ravelry friends!! Boxes show up on the porch almost every day, and every day seems like Christmas. We got a really good swappy package from our friend ScoutDiva. Her real name is Dawn, and she sent us all kinds of awesome stuff.

Dawn makes really pretty things out of paper. This is called “scrapbooking”, and she is very good at it.  She made us a whole bunch of beautiful Christmas cards, two photo albums, a decorated sticky note holder, and a photo cube out of CD cases.  Puglet thought the photo cube was a doghouse for him.  Me and Mom did not have the heart to tell him what it really was.

She also sent Mom a cute paper outfit that she is using for a bookmark, and some very pretty ornaments.

There was also a fun paper basket that was a hot chocolate kit, three new recipes for us to try, and a can of snacks called “Salsa Mix”.  Dawn does stuff with the Girl Scouts, and this is a Girl Scout snack.  It was so yummy, we ate it all as soon as we took the picture.

Dawn also sent Mom some yarn.  There was some soft yarn in gray and brown colors called “Pocono Alpaca.”  It is just as soft as the yarn we bought at the alpaca farm.   There was also a big skein of fuzzy yarn that is synthetic wool.  Mom has it on the stove right now.  She is dying it to be the color of cocoa.  She has been dying yarn all day, and the house smells like wet pickled sheep.

The very best thing in our package from Dawn was a dishcloth for the kitchen.  It is hand knitted, and it is a monkey face!!  Mom will not be using this one for dishes.  It is too special, and will just be for display.  We love everything that Dawn sent to us!!

We got another little swappy package, too.  This one was a Tractor Christmas Trivia Prize Package.  Mom answered some trivia questions that our friend Kelle asked.  Kelle’s real name is Kelle, and she is one of the tractor girls.  Kelle sent some really good trivia prizes.  There was a set of stitch markers that were made from her grandma’s beads.  Mom loved those a lot.  There was also a tiny hand knit sweater on a hanger, that Kelle made herself, and a little Christmas stocking that was just my size!!

The sweater was so cute, we decided to make it a special ornament for our button and spool tree!

And I hung the little stocking by the chimney with care, right next to my “Nice Monkey” letter from Santa.  Now I am just waiting to see what Santa will fill my stocking with.  Thanks for the great prizes, Kelle!  They are awesome!

Today, we got another box!  This one was from our friend 8ntfrogn.  She is my Auntie Karen, and she loves me very much.  She is the one who made stitch markers for Mom that were Shrinky Dink pictures of me, and she is my friend Praline Frogmouth’s mom.

When we opened the package we saw all kinds of great stuff!!  There was a fun felted bag for Mom.  It is knitted from purpley yarn, with sparkalie copper fringey yarn.  Mom loves it to pieces!   There were two picture frame bookmarks that Mom is going to use for pictures of our grandbabies, a pretty silver ornament that has two different pictures of Santa on it, and two notepads with angels on them.

But the best stuff was stuff for me!!  I got an awesome deck of pirate cards!!  Now me and Puglet can play War!   She also sent me some neat wood things with letters on them, called “Scrabble tiles”.   Mom said that Auntie Karen sent those for her to make some Scrabble tile art, but I think she is wrong about that.  I figured out that I can spell “Iggitts” with them!!!  I don’t know what iggitts are, but they must be special, or Auntie Karen would not have sent me these tiles.  As soon as I find out about iggitts, I will blog about them.  Thank you, Auntie Karen!

I went to the Post Office this morning, and sent a special package to my pal, Big Monkey.  I sent him some special stuff that I made.  Big Monkey is big.  He does not need a mom, I guess.  He has a “human” instead.  His human’s name is Laura.  Mom sent a present that she made for Big Monkey to give to Laura.

We sent the package by Priority Mail.  Priority means “Very Important.”  I hope the Post Office people realize that, and can get it to them by Christmas.  Hopefully, good luck is coming Big Monkey’s way, too!

    Noah,

Ooooo… I’m so excited! Thanks so much in advance for the package! We can’t wait to receive it. I sent Laura to the post office today to mail you a package as well. It was sent priority, but with the upcoming holiday I’m not sure if it will arrive by Christmas. I sure hope so!

    XOXO Big Monkey

P.S. The monkey dishcloth from your friend Dawn is awesome! I’ve never seen anything like that. Very neat!

    Hi, Big Monkey!

I hope our packages arrive today, but even they don’t, I think it will still be lots of fun to get stuff from each other! It is good to have presents after Christmas, because then you have something fun to open after the holiday is over. I hope you and Mark and Laura are going to have good snacks for Christmas Eve… Me and Mom are going to spend the whole day cooking.

    Love, Noah
