Our Big Night Out at Big Truck Tacos!!

Today’s Fortune: In every enterprise, consider the outcome.

This is very good advice. I just wish I’d gotten this fortune before I ate so much at Big Truck Tacos last night.

We decided to go to Big Truck Tacos last night because they were celebrating their first night of being open with the new late hours. I read on Facebook that we should wear our Snuggies, but Mom said she did not have time to make me a Snuggie, so I decided to wear my pajamas instead. I found my pirate hat, which looks really good with my pajamas, so I wore it, too. I was very surprised to find that I was the only one who wore such a good outfit. Everybody else looked pretty ordinary.

The first thing we did was get in the line, which was really long, because everybody came out to celebrate. When it was our turn, I made sure to order chips and queso. And guacamole, too.

Me and Puglet got some red tickets for prizes they were giving away. We wanted to keep our tickets as souvenirs, but Dad said we had to turn them in, so we might win something. They did drawings all evening for prizes, and even though we did not win anything, it was fun getting the tickets, and waiting to see who did win!

There was a huge crowd all evening! Apparently everybody is just as excited as we are that Big Truck Tacos is going to be staying open later!

We found a good place to sit, which was not as hard as we thought it might be, considering that the restaurant was packed.   Mom ordered an Okie-Baha taco which has fish on it, and Dad got a Flaming Lips taco, which sounded really fun!  They both got the 5th Amendment, and they had a lot of fun trying to figure out what was on it.   I had my chips and queso, and just took in the view from the windowsill.

We got to meet a bunch of new people, and everybody was really happy to see me and Puglet!  I got to meet Chris, who is my hero!  He has eaten every single thing on the Big Truck Tacos menu, and he did it in only 8 days!

We got to see some of our favorite new friends, too!  Kathryn gave me and Puglet a great big hug!

And we got a big pirate hug from Cally!  Arrrrr!!!

We are really glad Cally and Kathryn are our friends, because they are some of the funnest people we know!

Dad took lots of Polaroid pictures, and even though me and Puglet did not win any prizes, we got pictures of us with Cally and Kathryn to keep as souvenirs.  Polaroid pictures make way better souvenirs than red tickets.  I think I will put these up on the fridge next to my magnetic personality!!

We had a great time, and tons of great food!  Too much great food, in fact.  I ate all of my queso, and all of my guacamole, and wound up so full I collapsed.  I was really glad I didn’t fall in the dishes, or I’d have had to have another round of Woolite.

I think it is really amazing that something as simple as tacos can bring so many people so much happiness!  Hooray for the gang at Big Truck Tacos!!!
