I’m Dharma’s Super Hero!!
Today’s Fortune: You will enjoy doing something different this coming weekend.
That is good news! I can’t wait to see what I will get to do, because as far as I know, we don’t have any plans. Something different will be great fun!
Speaking of great fun, I have received some wonderful gifts in the mail in the past several days! We got a belated Christmas present from our dear friend Gramma. She is my Auntie Lulu, and she lives in Brooklyn, which is in New York. She is an artist! She made us this wonderful porcelain bowl, with a hand-painted sock monkey on it! It came with red tinsel, which I got to keep, too!
We are going to keep this bowl with our sock monkey treasures, so we can think of Lulu every single day!
I got another wonderful package in the mail, full of all kinds of fun stuff! This one was from my girlfriend Dharma Marmalade. Dharma lives in Connecticut, but I think she may be getting to come visit for my birthday next month. I hope so, because I have not seen her since last October when me and Mom went to Boston. She does read my blog, though, so she knows what I have been up to.
The package was a squishy package with blue and green stripes. Dharma sent me some Pezzes, some pirate stickers and safari stickers, and a monkey pen with funny big eyes. There was also a nice knitting pattern for my Mom from Dharma’s mom.
There was also a Nerds rope. The card said that the Nerds rope was from my sister, ValenTina. ValenTina lives at Dharma’s house now. That is where she finally wound up in her Traveling Sock Monkey journey. If you have not been reading my blog since the beginning, you may not have seen ValenTina. If you haven’t, you are lucky. She is cranky and bossy and tough to take. Mom made her because I wanted a sister. Now I know what they mean when they say, “Be careful what you wish for.”
This is a picture we took of her before I stuffed her into a Priority Mail box and sent her off on her journey. You can see why we did not want her back.
Of course, my favorite thing in the package was the super hero sticker sheet. It is full of action words like “Pow!” and “Zap!” and “Bam!” The note said, “Super hero stickers for Dharma’s super hero!”
You know, Superman was a nerd some of the time. But the rest of the time he was busy being a super hero and saving the day. So as long as Dharma thinks I’m a super hero, I don’t care if ValenTina thinks I am a nerd.
I think I will get mom to make me a cape to go with my new image.

Dear Noah,
It would be so nice to have you come celebrate your birthday with us. Imagine all the fun we could have! We could go to the Zoo and ride the carousel. Oh well, I suppose Dharma’s visit is so very much more important. You haven’t see her for awhile and I know how much you miss her. She probably needs a break from ValenTina. I imagine she’s getting on her nerves about now.
You are one lucky sock monkey. You have some of the best aunties in the world sending you all those fun gifts. Hugs to you sweetie,
Auntie Pam

Hi, Auntie Pam!
Riding the carousel sounds like a lot of fun. I will see if maybe we have one at our zoo. I really am a very lucky monkey – I have more good Aunties than anybody I know! I hope you and Auntie Tracy have a good time when she visits!
Love, Noah

Hi, Big Monkey!
Gramma always sends the coolest stuff. She makes everything herself, and she is a true artist! We are lucky to have her as our friend.
