A grand time at Grand House!!

Today’s Fortune: A quiet evening with friends is the best tonic for a long day.

I spent a quiet evening with friends last night. Well, sort of quiet. Me and Dharma and Mom and Dad went to Grand House for dinner. Dharma and I got to dine by candlelight. It was very romantic.

We had the shrimp lo mein, which was very tasty. We had shrimp lo mein on Thursday night, too, but it was from a different place and it was nowhere near as good as Grand House. We shared a plate. It was very romantic.

After dinner, we went to The Red Cup for dessert. We got apricot bars. Mine had a star and Dharma’s had a moon. We shared a cup of coffee with milk and sugar. It was very romantic.

After dessert we went to the Paseo Art Walk.  That is a thing they have every month where you can go and look at paintings, sculptures, pottery, photographs and other good stuff that are in buildings called “galleries”.  We saw some really good things, but we did not get any pictures, because they don’t like for you to use a camera inside a gallery.  It makes them cranky.

Even though we did not get pictures of the art, we enjoyed looking at all of the paintings and sculptures and listening to the street musicians.  It was very romantic.

It was a nice evening, and we had a very good and relaxing time.  It occurs to me that even though we go to Grand House almost every week, I have never officially reviewed it, so here is my official review:  Grand House gets Five Twinkies plus a bonus Fun Club cookie for being our very favorite restaurant, for having really good food, really good live music, and for being generally excellent!   And it is a good place for a first date, too – very romantic!

I’m so happy you and Dharma and Mom and Dad had a fantastic date! So uh … any of that shrimp lo mein left? Can I have some?

    Noah,

It looks like you and Dharma had a great time on your first dinner date. I would like to mention that your red sweater was a nice choice. Did you have a third wheel on your date because I saw bookmarker’s head peeking over the table?

Oh my Bob, Dharma and Noah look so fab together. You treated them to such a lovely dinner too. We miss Dharma a great deal. I am planning Bronwen’s baby shower and I could use Dharma’s help. I guess I could write to her and ask her advice.
Thank you for looking after her so well.

I will have to save some for you next time. We ate it all. It was very good! Is Lillian Jane having fun where she is visiting now? Love, Noah

    Hi, Big Monkey!

We decided to bring Bookmonkey and some pezzes, just in case we got bored. We have the red tote bag, and we put them in there with some crayons and pez pictures. It is good to be prepared. Love, Noah

Dharma misses you a great deal…. She would love to help plan Bronwen’s baby shower, and would be thrilled to be included in the activities. She and Noah are having quite a good time. They have so many things planned, I can’t even keep up with them!
