Today’s Fortune: You will travel to far away places.

I guess my fortune cookies know I’m going on a trip. We will be heading out for Fayetteville, North Carolina to visit my brother, and then we will go see the Tractor Girls next weekend at Ashevegas. It is just me and Mom and Sassy going though. Dad has to stay here. We wish he could come with us.

Sassy and I have been so busy I hardly noticed that Mom didn’t let me blog for the last ten days! We’ve been doing all kinds of fun stuff. We went to dinner at a place called “Santa Fe Cattle Company.” I was hoping to see some happy California cows there, but there weren’t any. Sassy and I got to have a whole bucket of peanuts. By the time the food got to us, we were too full to eat.

We found a really good place to have dessert, too.  It is called Cuppies and Joe. They serve coffee and cupcakes and nothing else. Which is fine by me and Sassy, because those are two of our favorite things!

The people that work there are lots of fun. We got our picture taken with one of the girls. We like her a lot.

Sassy really wanted a special cupcake called the “Sass-a-Frass”.  It is red velvet cake with buttercream frosting, but they were all out of them.  Sassy admired some pink cupcakes in a fancy glass dish.

Mom got us one called a “Horse Bite.”  It was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.  I thought it was really good.  Sassy was not happy and pouted, so I got to eat the whole cupcake myself.

I guess Mom felt bad for Sassy, so she got her a pink cupcake just for her, which was good, too.  It had pieces of real strawberries all in it.  I really like Cuppies and Joe!

It was a good week for getting presents from friends, too!  My friend Karen and her sock monkey Praline sent us some stitch markers that Karen made.  They are the best stitch markers I have ever seen!  They are of me doing all kinds of good stuff like rescuing a monkey with Sassy, eating cake and getting a Shmoo box and Kinder Eggs.  My favorite one is the one of me and my darling Dharma, though.  Who I will get to see in five days when we are at Ashevegas!!!

My friend Tracy sent me a special box of Piratey Goodness!!  It had pirate stickers, and some really awesome wood pirates that stand up.  I can color and paint them any way I want.  She also sent me a kit for making pirate eyepatches and skull necklaces!

Mom said I could not take my wood pirates with me on our trip, but I am taking one of the eye patches and a skull necklace.  I think it will look great with my karate suit.  ARRRRGGHH!!!

We will leave first thing tomorrow morning.  Dad is taking us to the airport at 6:00.  I am kind of nervous, because I have never been in an airplane, but Dad is a pilot and he says there is nothing to worry about.  I think Sassy has been in a plane before, but she was inside a Post Office Priority Mail box, so she did not get to see much.  We will be riding in style tomorrow, and we will get to look out the window at the clouds and everything.  It is going to be a great adventure!

I am kind of nervous about meeting my big brother and his wife, too.  I hope they will like me.  Mom says I am being silly, because everyone likes me.  Come to think of it, she is right!  I will blog about my adventures when we get unpacked at his house.  Bon Voyage!
