The Friendly Skies….

Today’s Fortune: You tend to spark the flame of enthusiasm in people.

This fortune is very true. Lots of people seemed to be enthusiastic about me all day yesterday as we were traveling.  We made it to North Carolina safely. We arrived yesterday afternoon. The airplane trip was not scary at all. It was actually a lot of fun! We got to sit by a window, and me and Sassy took turns looking out at the ground, which was very far away. I tried to find my house, but Mom said we were already a long way from it.

Sassy just kept wanting to know, “Are we there yet?”

I have to admit, it did get pretty boring.  Especially when we had to sit at the airport in Atlanta for three hours waiting to get on a different airplane.  I was really excited when Mom told me that they were going to give us snacks, but it turned out to just be coffee and a little package of cookies.  The cookies were okay, but that coffee was terrible, and after a while, the novelty of being up in the sky kind of wore off.   It was kind of like being in a flying bus.

When we got to North Carolina, we went to my big brother’s house.  It is out in the country and it is very nice there.  After he got home from work, we went out to dinner at a place called Pierro’s Italian Bistro. We ordered an appetizer of something called “calamari.” It is crispy and delicious, and you dip it in a yummy sauce called “marinara.” Sassy kept trying to sneak a drink of my brother’s soda pop. It was a kind called “Corona.” Mom said we could not have any of it, because we are not old enough. She also said it tastes yucky, anyway. We had water instead.

My brother ordered a great big pizza to share with me and Sassy.  It had sausage and pepperoni and meatballs on it, and it was humongous!

We ate and ate, and still could not finish it!  My brother decided to take the rest of it home with us, so he could eat it for lunch at work.

It has been a while since I critiqued a restaurant (mostly because we keep going to the same ones in Oklahoma City), so I think it is time for a Restaurant Review!   I give Pierro’s Italian Bistro my highest five twinkie rating!  It is a very good place to eat when you are in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

I think me and Sassy might get very fat while we are on vacation!

Today’s Vocabulary Words:  Calamari, Marinara, Corona

    Noah,

It looks like you guys are in a pizza coma! I’m glad you had a safe and boring flight (boring is good on an airplane). Enjoy the rest of your visit.

    Your Pal,
    Big Monkey

    Hi, Big Monkey!

It was pretty boring, but not nearly as boring as tomorrow will be. We are driving to Ashevegas to meet the Tractor Girls. Mom says it will take about 4.5 hours.

    Love, Noah
