Hugging Pugs and Other Fun Stuff….

Today’s Fortune: Others are attracted to your endearing warmth.

This fortune is very true. Everywhere I went in North Carolina, people seemed to love me!  Even dogs seem to be attracted to my endearing warmth!

After dinner at the Fiddlin’ Pig, we went to Puggerhugger’s house to take her boys home, and pick up her knitting so she could knit some at the hotel with Mom and Knittymac. I was very excited, because I got to meet all of the pugs that live at her house!! My very favorite is Easter. Easter is tan, and looks a lot like my pugs. She is very sweet, and even gave me a doggy-back ride!

Then I got to meet Jolly Bean.  He is a black pug, and he makes the funniest faces!  He tried to give Dharma a bath, but she was quick, and managed to duck.

I also got to meet Mini Purl.  She is a tiny little old lady pug.  She is about the size of a loaf of bread, and she is very sweet.  She had to have all of her teeth pulled a few weeks ago, but it doesn’t seem to have made her cranky.  I had to bend over and get really small, just to see eye-to-eye with her.

Then I got to meet Shaggy.  He is a great big friendly yellow dog.  We became good friends immediately.

The pugs have their own sock monkey, which seems a little bit strange to me, because at my house, the monkeys have pugs.  Their sock monkey came from a place called “PetSmart.”    Mom says we have one of those  in our town, and that we would go there to see if they have monkeys like this that need to be rescued.

While we were waiting for Mom and Knittymac and Puggerhugger to finish visiting and get some yarn, I found a really cool guitar.  Mom says this is a game called “Guitar Hero.”  I could not figure out how it works.  I couldn’t even get it to play one note, but I looked like a rock star, anyway.

We finally got to go back to the hotel!  We decided to have another big sleepover, and Dharma got to stay with us.  We even brought a funny blue creature from Puggerhugger’s house.  His name is The Annoying Thing, and if you shake hands with him, he makes very annoying sounds.  It was not hard to figure out why they call him that.

Mom took a group picture of us.  We all posed nicely for the picture.  Even ValenTina and The Annoying Thing.

We had a lot of fun, but we did not get much sleep.  I have figured out that sleepovers are not for sleeping.  They are also called slumber parties, but you don’t slumber either.  They really should call them something that makes more sense.

    Hi, Pugger!!

I had so much fun at your house!! Sister Mary Monkeypants arrived today – we are wondering if you could send Easter and Jolly for a visit? She misses them a lot. I do, too! Easter is the best dog I ever got to meet! I see why Grampa loves her.

    Love, Noah
