The JDT Monkey Shines Club!!!

Today’s Fortune: Now is the time for your leadership skills to shine.

Another great fortune!  I enjoy getting to be the leader!

Usually, Mom is the leader, but she does not feel good today, so I am on my own. She took me to Michael’s last Saturday, and she let me pick out some good stuff. I got stuff to make a really good valentine for Dharma, and I will probably start working on it this week. Mom also got me some more magnetic letters for the fridge, because Santa didn’t bring me quite enough to spell all the stuff I want to spell. Now I can spell iggitts, because I finally have two G’s!!

Mom took this picture of me before I had my bath.  I have to admit that my nose looks much nicer without coffee stains on it.

Since I am in charge of entertaining myself, I decided I would start a club! It is called the JDT Monkey Shines Club. JDT stands for John Deere Tractor. I did not have enough letters to spell out the whole thing. Plus, a club should have some secrets, and when you have letters in your club name it is very mysterious, and people will wonder more about your club.  This will boost membership.

I am the President of the club.  That is because it was my idea.  Calvin Klein, Puglet, and Rufus are my “Charter Members.”  That means they are the very first ones to join.  Dad said that since Puglet is my faithful companion I ought to make him “Sergeant at Arms.”  I don’t know about that… Puglet’s arms are pretty short.  I’m not sure he’s up to the job.

The rules of our club are pretty simple.  Every morning we meet at the fridge and spell funny made-up words with our magnetic letters.  Some of the words we have come up with so far are:  flarp, fluberto, and kyzam.

Mom especially likes quaxiv and gwartix.  She says that the “pharmaceutical companies” probably have giant fridges full of magnet letters.   Those are the people that make medicine.  I think we should look into this, because if they do have giant fridges full of magnet letters, they will probably want to join my club.  If they don’t, they might want to hire me as a consultant.

Our club is lots of fun, and the membership will probably grow rapidly, because all of the monkeys around here want in on the action.  We do have one problem, though.  We keep running out of A’s, E’s, I’s, O’s and U’s.  Almost every word takes at least one of those.

But I think I know how to fix that.  I was watching a show called Wheel of Fortune last week. I will just call up Pat Sajak and tell him I would like to buy some vowels.

Today’s Vocabulary Words: Charter Members, pharmaceutical companies, Sergeant at Arms, flarp, fluberto, kyzam, quaxiv, gwartix
