I am a TV Star!!!!
Today’s Fortune: Others are attracted to your endearing warmth.
This is a true fortune. Mom started me a Fan Club Page on Facebook a couple of days ago. I already have 50 fans, so my endearing warmth must be attracting people. I wanted my own Facebook account, but Facebook does not let you have a page if you are a sock monkey. We could probably get around that by pretending that I am a regular person, but Mom reminded me that we do not break the rules. Plus, she likes being Adult Supervision.
Yesterday morning I got to go to Big Truck Tacos for breakfast! Dad had to take me, because Mom was working. We got invited because they liked my blog about their restaurant a whole lot. The local Fox News was broadcasting from Big Truck Tacos, and I got to be on TV!! Plus, I got to see what goes on behind the scenes at TV, which was very interesting.
Me and Puglet found a spot to sit at a good table and had a breakfast taco while we took it all in. There was a man named Fred, who had a great big TV camera. He is called the “camera man”. Without him, there would be no TV. Dad has a lot of cameras, but he does not have one like this. I think he should get one. Then we could do TV shows any time we want.
They had another guy there getting interviewed who also blogs about Big Truck Tacos. His name is Chris, and he has been doing a “Big Truck Taco Challenge” where he is eating everything on the menu in 8 days. He reviews the stuff he eats, and rates it on a scale of one to ten taco trucks, which is almost as good as rating by Twinkies. He has been taking pictures of the stuff he eats, and posting it on his blog. He was on his way to work about the time we got there, so we didn’t get to have our picture taken with him, but I’m sure we will run into him at Big Truck Tacos.
The lady who interviewed us is named Lauren Richardson. She has long blond hair, and she is very pretty. She is also very funny. She said that she wanted to name her next child Puglet. I got to get my picture taken with her while we were waiting to be on live TV. I whispered in her ear that Puglet was an excellent name choice, and she should definitely do that.
I also got to meet Cally Johnson and Kathryn Mathis. They are nicknamed “Tall Twin” and “Little Twin”. They are the chefs and owners of Big Truck Tacos. They are the most important people of all, because without them, there would be no Big Truck Tacos, which would be very sad for everyone in Oklahoma City. They are super nice, and made sure that we got to have a yummy taco for breakfast!!
The reason Big Truck Tacos was having live TV was to announce their new extended hours! They will now be open from 7:30 in the morning to 10:00 at night on Monday through Thursday. And on Fridays and Saturdays, they will be open from 7:30 in the morning until 2:00 the next morning!! This means we can go get a Big Truck Taco almost any time we want!!!
When we got home, me and Puglet got to watch ourselves on TV!! I was a little bit disappointed in my television debut. I was very quiet and shy, and Dad had to do most of the talking. Mom says this is called “stage fright” and she gets that way, too. That made me feel a little better. It also made me feel a little better that Dad messed up, too. When Lauren Richardson referred to him as the “owner” of me and Puglet, he didn’t even notice. He should have told her he was just Temporary Adult Supervision.
I was so distracted with all the TV excitement that I forgot to hold up the sign I made for my girlfriend Dharma Marmalade! I wanted her to see me with a sign about her on TV. I am not sure if she would see our news in Connecticut, anyway, but I know she will see it here on my blog!
I think Dharma’s mom is going to send her here to visit in time for my birthday party in February! I think Sister Mary Monkeypants and Guy the Ska Monkey will be here, too. And Mom says we will see about having my party at Big Truck Tacos!! It will be the event of the year!
Today’s Vocabulary Words: Camera man, stage fright

Hi, Auntie Pam!!
It was very exciting getting to be on TV. It was even more exciting getting to see myself on TV. That does not happen every day. Auntie Jana has already asked for my paw-o-graph.

Hi, Big Monkey!
Dad sent a message to Lauren Richardson to ask if there was any way to get the video. If we can, I will put it on my blog for sure. But you’ve seen the best part – the closeup of me and Puglet on the TV screen. Dad did most of the talking. I need to work on my stage presence.

Hi, Liz!
We were pretty excited to be on TV! And we agree that Puglet is a superb name, but Pugletta might be better if it is a girl.
