Noah and Dharma in Wonderland!!
Today’s Fortune: A thrilling time is in your immediate future.
Yesterday, Mom and Dad took me and Dharma to the movies. We went to the 9:30 morning show, right after we had breakfast at Big Truck Tacos. The morning show is a good time to go, because there are not big crowds.
We did not get to stop at the snack bar, because we were full of tacos. If you go to the show, don’t eat first, or your Mom and Dad will not buy you popcorn and soda and candy, and your movie will not be as fun.
We went to see Alice in Wonderland in “IMAX 3D”. I did not know what IMAX 3D was, but I found out that it is extra cool! You have to wear special glasses to watch the movie, or else it looks all blurry and fuzzy. Me and Dharma got our own glasses.
IMAX 3D means that when you are watching the show, it will look like the movie is coming at you. It is a very good movie, but it is kind of scary to have a frumious Bandersnatch charging out of the screen into your lap. We were very glad that he turned out to be a good guy at the end.
I was disappointed that Mom did not let me take pictures of the movie. She said that taking pictures in the movie is annoying, and will probably get you kicked out. So is using cell phones. We were good movie patrons and turned off our phones, and left the camera in Mom’s purse.
The “Coming Attractions” part of the movie is really good, too. That is where they show you parts of movies that will be at the theater soon, so you can figure out which ones you want to go see. They also have cool posters and stuff in the lobby to advertise them. We definitely need to go see this one:
I think this movie would be very good for me to see, because Mom has promised to knit me a dragon. Knowing how to tame it when I get it will be good information to have. Plus, the movie is in IMAX 3D, so it will be very exciting to watch.
There were cool displays for all kinds of movies. This one is called Letters to Juliet. I don’t know what it is about, because they did not show previews for it at our movie, but it kind of looks like a girl movie. Maybe Mom and Dharma can go see that one, while me and Dad go see Tron.
There was a really cool display for a movie called Death at a Funeral. This one had a special spot that you could stand in and get your picture made, so you could be one of the family. It had an arrow that pointed down and said, “Take Your Photo Here.” So I did.
Underneath that it said, “Then join the family on Twitter. Reply your photo to @Death at a Funeral.” I am going to do that, because I learned from Alice in Wonderland that when there are notes on stuff, you should always do what they say.
I wonder if I will win a big prize? Maybe I will get to go to Hollywood and meet the new family I am joining. They look like nice people.
Mom says I should review movies the same way I do with books and restaurants and my consumer reviews. I think that is a great idea! I have decided that I will rate movies according to a Skittle scale.
Alice in Wonderland gets my highest 5 Skittle rating!! Plus a bonus box of Junior Mints for having a cool Cheshire Cat, the Caterpillar and the March Hare, the White Rabbit, the Dormouse, and Tweedledum and Tweedledee. And a giant bonus tub of popcorn with extra butter for the Mad Hatter and the Bandersnatch!! And extra bonus movie tickets for the whole thing being in IMAX 3D. Even the scary stuff like the Red Queen and the Jabberwocky and Stayne deserve some bonus treats… Maybe Good & Plenties because nobody likes those.
Actually, there are not enough bonuses to go around for this movie. Go see it. You will be glad you did!
