Other Cool Stuff

Good Bye 2020! Nobody will miss you.

Today’s Fortune: You could prosper in a few years in the field of entertainment

I really hope this fortune comes true! I have a good plan to make it happen. 2020 has been a very un-fun year. Coronavirus has had us cooped up in the house since last March. And just when I thought I was going to get to blog a lot more, Mom decided to go back to high-college last August. Only this time she was teaching it, which meant that she hogged the computer ALL the time.

I was worried that Santa would not come because of Coronavirus, but Mom said Santa always comes. And she was right!!! I must have been a very good monkey all year, because Santa brought me giant bags full of stuff!

I opened all my bags in Mom’s studio, because I did not want Gizmo to eat my presents. Calvin Klein and Puglet helped out. We got race cars to build, a submarine, a pirate puzzle, and a whole set of puffy pirate stickers!

Santa also brought us Pezzes, sour punch trees, and lots of other fun stuff! I got a tricky worm, sushi and fast food erasers, a giant squishy bug, a big storage case for my new stuff, and gross sticky eyeballs!! Mom said she thinks Santa may have done his shopping in the bargain toy aisle at the grocery store. That’s just silly. Everyone knows that the elves make all of the Santa stuff.

We also got party hats for our New Year celebration. Calvin Klein was very grumpy that he had to wear the hat, and took it off right after our picture. I think mine is awesome, and I might never take it off. I need a wizard costume to wear with it, though. Mom does very good costume design. I asked her to make me one, and she said, “We’ll see.” That usually means no, so I might have to make my own. We’ll see.

I also got some glow-in-the-dark paints, and a whole set of my very own needle felting tools and a gazillion tiny packages of felting wool. Now I can do my own needle felting when Mom is doing her felting projects. I am now all set to make glow-in-the-dark felted monsters and zombies!

Mom got a very good present from Dad to replace our gnome-eating Godzilla sculpture that got broken during the ice storm a few weeks ago. This sculpture is even better, and we will keep it in the house where the ice can’t get it. I am pretty sure this is what Gizmo would do if we ever had an invasion of tiny gnomes.

The back of the box tells all about the important features of the sculpture. This is a very high-quality garden gnome massacre from Mark & Margot. You should definitely get one. They have lots of excellent gnome stuff, and you can check it all out at their website.

And now I get to tell about the best thing I got for Christmas in all the Christmases of ever!! Dad made me a video game called “Mini-Pong.” Pong is a game Mom and Dad both had when they were kids. I am pretty sure my Dad is a genius. He designed and built the game with his “Prusa.” The Prusa is a 3D printer, and Dad makes all kinds of good stuff with it. He also designed and built the “circuit board,” which is the thing inside the case that makes the game work. He even made labels for it using our new Cricut Maker. Dad made one for both of my brothers, too. There are only 3 of these in the entire universe, and I have one of them!!

As you can see, Mini-Pong is supposed to be for two players, but Calvin Klein says Pong is boring and he is waiting for Dad to design a Mini Call of Duty: Black Ops. Puglet wanted to play, but his arms are too short. So I just play Mini-Pong all by myself. Which means I win every time!!

I spent the whole weekend after Christmas in my pajamas, playing my new game. I am hoping to get good enough for my fortune to come true. It would be pretty cool to prosper while entertaining people with my amazing Pong skills.

Today, we are just sitting around waiting for our New Year’s Eve celebration. Calvin Klein refused to put his party hat back on, so it’s just me and Puglet (and Mike Bison). And Puglet looks like he’s already about to fall asleep. I may be the only one who gets to see the fireworks at midnight, but I am determined to watch 2020 go away forever.

Have a safe and happy New Year, everyone! And I hope 2021 is a much better year for everyone in the whole world.
