Jungle Eggs and Easter Cows…..

Today’s Fortune: Great treasures are in store for you.

This fortune is one of the best ones I ever got! Yesterday was Easter, and the Easter Bunny came to visit, just like Mom said he would.

I did not get to see him, but he left lots of good things, and he hid them very well. There were lots of jungle eggs with funny animal faces. I found a pink hippo hidden in some tall grassy things.

There was an orange tiger hiding in the hedges.  Mom gave me a nice little basket that was just my size to put all of my eggs in.  It worried me a little, because I have heard that you should not put all of your eggs in one basket, but it was the only one I had, so I didn’t have much choice.

There were yellow leopards, and over by the pond I found a blue egg that I thought was a monkey, but then I decided it was probably just a bear.

Some of them were hard to get to.  I found one way up in a tree, and another was stuck in some brambly stuff that Mom said used to be a fern.  That was last Fall, before everything froze.  Now it is just a dead thing, but it is a pretty challenging place to hide an egg.

I found a whole bunch of jungle eggs, and they were all full of candy!  Some had taffy, some had gum, and some had some little things called “Smartees.”  They were very tasty, and I shared them with Calvin Klein and the geezers, because they did not get to hunt for any eggs of their own.

I thought I had found everything the Easter Bunny left me, and then I noticed that there was something inside the Big Fish at the edge of the pond.  It was a little milk carton filled with candy eggs called “Whoppers.”  I shared those with Dad, because they are his favorite.

And then, behind the pond, hiding in the irises, I found a wind-up frog and an Easter Cow!!!  The wind-up frog does back flips and the cow is soft and cuddly like Walter.  Dharma will be very glad that I got a cow.

The Easter Bunny brought me so many good things!  I love the Easter Bunny!

But I am hiding all of my Easter stuff from Uncle Sam.

Today’s Vocabulary Words: Smartees, Whoppers

    Hi, Beth!

I love Swedish Fish, but I don’t get them very often. Mom says they are bad for my teeth, so she eats them. Love, Noah
