SassyLePoof! Arrives……

Today’s Fortune: You will make a new and lasting friendship.

Once again, my fortune is right on the money! Our newest Traveling Sock Monkeys group visitor arrived last week, and we are already great friends! Her name is SassyLePoof!. I asked Mom what the funny looking thing at the end of SassyLePoof!’s name is, and she told me it is called an “exclamation point.” She says it is to show emphasis. I use them when I write my blog, but I did not know what they were called, and I sure did not know that they could be in somebody’s name. SassyLePoof! is kind of long to say, so we are just calling her Sassy. That is her nickname.

Like most girls, Sassy has a lot of stuff. She has a crush on somebody named “David Hasselhoff.” Her tote bag has his picture on one side, and it says “Don’t Hassel Le Hoff!” on the other side. She has dresses, and skirts, and hats, and even a cape and a mask.

After she got unpacked and changed clothes a few times, I decided to give her the presents we got for her so far. She likes pink sparkaly stuff, so I got her a magic wand, a Hello Kitty lunchbox and some sparkaly stickers that even light up when you mash on a button. She really liked all of it. She has a sparkaly crown-thing that she wears on her head. Mom says that is called a “tiara.” It is very nice. I wonder if Dharma would like one of those.

We went to meet my Mom’s best friend JoAnn for lunch at a Chinese restaurant. It was not Grand House, but it was still pretty good, plus Sassy got to meet JoAnn, who we love a whole lot.

Then we went to the yarn store. Again. Sassy made herself right at home, and found some sparkaly glittery yarn that she wanted.

We also got to meet Carol Anne.  She is one of Mom’s Ravelry friends.  The yarn store was not nearly as boring, since I had Sassy there to keep me company.

We have been having a great time since Sassy got here.   I can tell we are going to be good friends.  But she has taken over my “Sock Monkeys are Cheaper than Therapy” button.  I’ve noticed that girls seem to do that kind of stuff.

Today’s Vocabulary Words: Exclamation point, David Hasselhoff, tiara

    Noah,

Greetings to you and your TSM pal Sassy. She is very stylish! I’m sure you guys will have a lot of fun during her visit. Yes, I think Dharma would like a tiara. Most ladies want to feel like a princess.

    Your Pal,
    Big Monkey

    Hi, Big Monkey!

Sassy is lots of fun. She is awfully girly, though. Which means she does not want to play Farm with me, either.

Sassy told me to tell you she thinks you are cute. (Girls can be very silly sometimes.)

    Love, Noah
