My First Kiss!!!
Today’s Fortune: An opportunity will present itself to you. Seize it.
Last night was my official last date with Dharma. She will be leaving for her next stop on the TSM tour later this week. I am already missing her, and she has not even left yet.
We went to Grand House for dinner. Dad let us order whatever we wanted from the menu.
We decided to wear our new karate suits, since we have been wearing our sweaters for a while. Everybody really seemed to like them. People kept looking at us like they wanted to know where we got them.
We decided to start with the fried potstickers. They are little dumplings filled with meat. They’re kind of like little Hot Pockets, only much better.
Then we ordered our favorite Szechuan Vegetable dish to share. It was very romantic, even though they didn’t light the candle on our table.
It was so romantic that I turned around and gave Dharma a kiss! On the lips! And she kissed me back!!
I nearly fell off Mom’s purse (which is were we have to sit to be tall enough to reach the table.)
After dinner, we went to The Red Cup, of course. There was a band there called 13 Seeds. They were really good. They even sang a song about fried chicken and it also mentioned monkeys, which we really liked, but that one is not on their CD. Mom and Dad got us a CD so we could listen to them some more.
We shared an apricot bar and played “Spiderman vs. the Easter Bunny” for a while, but I really couldn’t keep my mind on our game. I was too busy thinking about that kiss.
I am very glad I decided to sieze that opportunity. It is too bad that my first kiss was on my last date.
Mom says that is “bittersweet.” I think she is right.
Today’s Vocabulary Words: Bittersweet

Way to go, Noah! Better late than never. You’ve given Dharma something to remember you by. I’m sure she’ll come visit you again soon.
Take care,
Big Monkey

Hi, Big Monkey!
I am hoping I can go visit her in the Fall. Mom has a trip planned to meet some friends in New England, and Dharma should be back at home in Connecticut by then. I hope I will get to see her there. Love, Noah

Hi, Amandaleigh!
No. It is not wrong to cry at romantic stuff. In fact, it is good. My mom does that, too. Love, Noah
